Dear Painters and Friends, Painting in October in Andalusia, Spain, was simply delightful. We had a fantastic week painting in the sunshine, Flamenco dancing with Paula and wine tasting in the evening with stunning sunsets as a background. The white washed villages set into the dramatic mountains of the Alpejurras made a wonderful subject to capture. For beginners there were picturesque windows, archways and ancient doors to paint. One day we also strolled to a nearby plateau accompanied by Andrea and her faithful donkey, from where we had the most wonderful views to sketch and paint. On the way there and back we drank the naturally sparkling spring water, which had the most amazing taste – natures Chanpagne! The food at Casa Ana was as last year outstandingly good, and it was hard to imagine to ever have to cook your own meals again. I also had the chance this time to stay on a week and finally had an evening with our wonderful host Anne to get to know each other better. We decided then and there to run another course next year, June, 3rd – 10th 2023 and of course you would be very welcome to join us.
I wish you a very happy painting autumn, Bettina |
