It is nearly summer and with it comes the desire to paint outdoors in wide open spaces. Luckily my painting course in Spain is on the horizon and I cannot wait to be back in Andalusia at Casa Ana and meet my friends and colleagues in Ferreirola. We have planned a wonderful week of painting village scenes with views across the Alpujarra mountains of the southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada. Close up are ancient doorways and arches - typical for the whitewashed local buildings - flowers and ornate water fountains, something for every painter (see Spain pages for more details). My spring has been very busy with our exhibition Viva La Vida in the famous Frauenmuseum in Bonn, Germany and most recently a group show by the Tunnel artists at the Hundred Years Gallery in London, Now Is The Time Of Monsters. The exhibition is still on until the 27.May, so if you are in London please let me know and do drop in.
With best wishes for your painting, Bettina Comments are closed.
