Dear Painters and Friends, How has your summer been so far? I hope you have had plenty of time and opportunity to roll out your paints and brushes. The June painting week in Andalusia was as delightful as ever but, alas, this year I had to make the difficult decision that it would be my last ever holiday painting course. After 35 years of painting with students all over Europe and Morocco, I have finally hung up my teaching hat. I want to thank everybody who painted with me at the many wonderful locations and made the courses such a creative and fun experience, and for their continuing support and enthusiasm. I fondly remember the pleasure of painting outdoors surrounded by inspirational landscapes and the many delightful evenings we spent together after a satisfying day’s painting. Of course there is no rest for the wicked and I am as busy as ever with art exhibitions of paintings and installations, as well as music and writing. Next on my agenda is the Multicultural Book Fair in the heart of London on 6th September, where I will be reading from my poetry book FLIRTING ON AN ESCALATOR. So if you are interested in meeting me there and/or hearing me read, do drop me a line and we can arrange a time (MULTICULTURAL BOOK FAIR 2025 Conway Hall, Red Lion Square, London WC1R4RL ). I hope your painting continues to flourish and it gives you as much enjoyment as my painting still gives me. With very best wishes, Bettina Some fond memories... |
